About Us

Rowlands Castle Good Neighbours group provides help to people in our community and has been operating for over 30 years.  We are run by volunteers and funded by donations. The majority of our tasks are transport related - our volunteers use their own cars to pickup our clients, take them where they wish to go, wait if required, and then return them home.   For example:

• transport to / from a health related appointment e.g. GP surgery, hospital, dentist, physio etc
• transport to a club or social event
• help with shopping, collecting a prescription
• any other neighbourly activity

Our clients call us on 07897 994378, leave us a message telling us their name, where they want to go and when.  The message is picked up at some point during the day by the duty co-ordinator who will try to find a volunteer who can help.  The co-ordinator will call you back when they have found someone - this is usually within 1-2 days, so it is important that you give us a few days notice.

We cover Rowlands Castle, Finchdean, Forestide and Dean Lane End.
